Making Marshmallowy Memories with Mommy

I've seen the chocolate covered marshmallow pops all over blog land.  I decided this would be something that Jesse could really help with.  We had tons of fun (decided to skip the sticks) and he made a whole bag choosing what kinds of toppings (sprinkles, green sugar crystals, crushed trix, or crushed cinnamon cookies).

Setting up the Sprinkles

Getting a mouthful.  He is wearing his cousin's apron because his apron is wrapped and under the tree.

The chocolate was really warm so I would dip it and let it cool for a couple of seconds before letting him pick what to dip it in.

We both like chocolate. :D

We had lots of fun.  I cant believe how much he was enjoying it (he is only two), and how much he wanted to do on his own.  We got through almost the whole bag before he was done dipping and just eating the sprinkles again.

Hope you have fun making memories with your kids this Holiday Season! Merry Christmas!

Brownies, Forts and Santa - Pictures.

Jesse wore one of my aprons (poor guy!) to help me make brownies.  Another thing to make him for Christmas :D

He kept all the brownie mix in the bowl while he stirred. Impressive for two!

Don't judge. I ate the batter as a kid and Im doing just fine.

Helicopters and Stiticheries

My son is almost two and he is such a fun guy.  He is really into Airplanes and Helicopters so my husband and I took him to a Helicopter Air show a little while ago.  He really enjoyed himself but was too "scared" to go onto a helicopter.  Hopefully he will get over that fear soon. :D

One of the best parts about the airs how was how close you could get to all of the helicopters. They had a lot out on display and the ones that were flying overhead would land in the back part of the field we were in and it was amazing.  The wind you can feel off a helicopter as it lands is pretty crazy. Something I hadnt experienced before.

Also-- to keep you updated. I am working on some Stitcheries right now, but that are top secret (presents) until I am finished with them, so stay tuned for when that happens.

Love,

Feature Friday- Castle Crashers Beanie

Have you ever heard of Castle Crashers?  My brother plays this game on Xbox and it has the characters as shown above.  He really likes this fun little game.  Currently, his favorite color is green.  He was looking around on the internet and found this really cute beanie in the style of the castle crasher. Well, he wanted one so he called up a very talented woman, my Grandmother.  My brother emailed a link to my Grandma. Not too long later (I mean, really she probably made it in a day or two and then mailed it out it was that quick) my brother received the following

The top parts are pointy just like the picture, but you just cant tell in the picture above. I was so excited. You mean to tell me she made that just from a photo? Yeah, she is that fantastic. My other brother saw this hat and immediately called my Grandma and asked for an orange one (his favorite color).  I just thought I would share something really cute with you all.  I love my Grandma.

What Im working on Monday :)

My mom's birthday is coming up soon. I wanted to do something nice for her birthday. Well, I have started by asking her for a picture of her wedding.  I found something on another blog that I thought was cute and wanted to try.  They only problem was that the pictures from my parents wedding are 27 years old, and this particular picture was glue into a lace frame without any glass on it.  So you can see that there are some spots on the picture that need taking care of, as well as the bottom and the top where the glue was.  Well, I have yet to finish my completed project (and I wont reveal it here because my mom reads this!) but here is the begginning of my edits:

The major differences for now are the top and bottom and a couple of black spots on my moms dress.  But I am working on the rest and hoping that mom isnt sad by me spoiling half of the birthday surprise.  Ill pose a picture of the present after Thursday.   Love you mom! :)
